Mr. Swan is new to Crane Union High School this year. He teaches the following classes:

- - Advanced Physical Education
- - Weight Training
Mr. Swan graduated from Eastern Oregon University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in three concentrations; Physical Activity & Sport, Health & Wellness, and Exercise Science. In 2009, he graduated from Eastern Oregon University with a Masters degree in Education.
He started his student teaching at Estacada High School in 2008 before being hired by Sherman County to teach physical education at North and South Sherman Elementary to fulfill a one-year temporary grant.
Mr. Swan has an extensive background in coaching, both at the high school and middle school level. Sports that he has coached include football, basketball, and track. Most recently Mr. Swan was the special teams coordinator and defensive backs coach at Estacada High school where the team finished 3rd in the state of Oregon in 2008. Before that, he was an offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach at La Grande High School.
While he has a strong passion for athletics, his passion for helping students succeed is second to none. Through character education, implemented in every class, students are given the opportunity to demonstrate personal grow in attitude, goal-setting, effort, leadership, and motivation.
