Thomas E. "Tom" Pitzer Aviation Maintenance Scholarship
The Thomas E. “Tom” Pitzer Aviation Maintenance Scholarship Committee will select one candidate to receive a scholarship to help him or her pursue an Associate of Applied Science Degree with FAA A&P Certification. The scholarship of $1,000.00 will be awarded annually to an Oregon public high school senior with a grade point average of 3.0 or above. The student must be a US Citizen and plan to attend an accredited and FAA approved school within Oregon, such as Lane or Portland Community College, starting Fall Term. The scholarship funds are to be used for tuition and books only. Upon receipt of the degree the recipient of the scholarship must commit to working three years within the aviation maintenance industry. Applications are due the last business day in February.
