Spanish I

• Grades 9-12
• Length of Course: 1 year
• Prerequisite:  None

Spanish I is a 2 semester course designed for beginning students with little or no Spanish language abilities.  It fulfills one year of the 2 years of foreign language required for entrance into some institutions of higher learning. Students enrolled in Spanish I will be taught basic conversational skills in Spanish.  The goal of this course is to produce performance with language rather than knowledge about language.

Spanish II

• Grades 10-12
• Length of Course: 1 year
• Prerequisite: Spanish I

Spanish II is designed to teach Spanish language to students who have completed Spanish I.  Spanish II fulfills 1 year of the 2 year requirement for a foreign language for entrance into some institutions of higher learning.  Students enrolled in Spanish II will be taught intermediate conversational skills in Spanish.  The goal of this course is to produce performance with language rather than knowldege about language.
