Parents: While we do not want to deny you access to your students we are also trying to protect our instruction time during classes. We are asking you to please refrain from calling during class time unless it is an emergency. Students are not allowed to use cell phones during school time but are allowed to have them at lunch. If at all possible, please find out from your student what non core classes they could be called during if you need to reach them during school time. Please check the schedule for teacher prep time if you need to talk with a teacher. Remember you can always email them from the web site. We appreciate your help in this matter.
There is a Site Council meeting on February 1, 2012 from 4:00-5:00PM, in the library to continue discussing and receiving public input on the School Wide Title I plan. Parents and students are invited to attend.
Due to new laws, the school has to know when a student is absent from school that the parents know where their student is and that they are accounted for. If your student is going to miss school we need to know. Please call the office and leave a message that they will be gone and you know about it. If we do not hear from you we will be calling you. Remember in order to be excused they must come back to school with a written note or you may email me from the school's web site. Phone calls do not excuse students, they only work to let us know they are going to be gone. We need some form of written or printed record for an absence to be excused.
Parents-Please complete this Prioritization of Needs Assessment Survey , also in PDF. and return it to Karen Starbuck in the library as soon as possible. This survey will help us with our Title I school wide planning.
Winter Formal (Valentine's Dance) will be held on Thursday February 2nd. More details to come.
Quote of the Week: " Make your life a missin, not an intermission."

Good StuffCUHS sophomore Mary Dorroh has been published twice in the monthly magazine "Teen Ink" with original short articles, and in the January 11, 2012 edition of the Burns Times-Herald (BTH) newspaper for her sports coverage and photo of the Crane-Prairie City and Crane-Dayville/Monument basketball games. Mary stepped up to cover the sports stories when asked at the last minute by the BTH newspaper staff. Good Job, and thank you, Mary! Summer Life Pics NeededThe CUHS Yearbook Team needs summer life photo's of the students. If anyone has them, please get them to Mrs. Maher, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , or a member of the yearbook staff. If a student gives the yearbook staff a summer life picture, they would most likely be in the yearbook! |
