Cell Phone Service Has Come To Crane

In our effort to be proactive in dealing with student use of cell phones on campus, we have shared the following guidelines with all students. Our Crane Union High School Student Handbook states that cell phones are not permitted in the school building. Dorm students must leave their cell phones in rooms. Students who drive themselves to school must leave their phones in vehicles and students whose parents transport them to school must leave turned off cell phones in lockers. If cell phones are seen out in the school building, students will first receive a warning and after that the phone will be confiscated and returned to parents/student after a meeting with the principal.

The school does not assume any liability for lost or damaged cell phones.

Parents please assist us by checking you cell phone bills each month to ensure your student is following school cell phone guidelines, especially in the dorm. Most phones support parental controls meaning that parents can have their child’s phone shut down during school hours or after hours if they choose. Even if the power is on students will not be able to receive any calls or text messages. For more information visit the Verizon Web site. Or call customer service.

Thanks for your help with this matter.

Athletic Events & Gym Seating

We will be removing some of the chairs in the gym, due to safety issues. We are aware there are a few people who need to use chairs while watching the basketball games. We have identified a list of those fans and will have chairs for those people only. If you require a chair rather than a bleacher please let the gate attendant know. We are asking if you are able to use the bleacher to please do so. Standing at the end of the gym will not be allowed in future games. Please keep the corner on the south east end of the gym by the pepsi machine clear. Thanks for your help with this matter.

Alumni Night will be held this Thursday the 4th of February.
